The pup-tastic grooming staff at  Rover Oaks Pet Resort  in Katy are helping animals from  Citizens for Animal Protection  (CAP) go from bow to wow by providing weekly doggie makeovers for lucky  CAP  dogs each Wednesday. The pups also receive a free grooming certificate from  Rover Oaks Katy  so their new adoptive parents can continue to keep them looking their best!

This week's makeovers feature Mickey, a six month old maltese mix, and Ned, a two and a half year old wire-coated terrier mix.

Meet Mickey BEFORE His Rover's Makeover!

Mickey before
Mickey was found as a stray near Clay Rd and Beltway 8. He has such a serious face for one so young! He likes being held and cuddled, and was a very good boy for the groomer in spite of his young age. Mickey is available for adoption now at the shelter.

Meet Ned Before His Rover's Makeover!

Ned before
Ned too was a stray. He is unfortunately heartworm positive (so easily prevented with one monthly pill!) and will need to undergo several months of treatment before he is ready to find a home of his own. Even though he was very frightened by the grooming process, he was a very good and quiet guy.

Check Out Ned NOW!

Mickey, Ned and many other wonderful dogs, cats and small animals are waiting patiently for loving homes at Citizens for Animal Protection, 17555 Katy Freeway (I-10 at Barker-Clodine). You can also visit them on the web at , but as there are many more animals at the shelter than are listed on the website, it is definitely worth a visit. Hurry over to CAP...your new best friend is waiting to meet you!
