The pup-tastic grooming staff at  Rover Oaks Pet Resort  in Katy are helping animals from  Citizens for Animal Protection  (CAP) go from bow to wow by providing weekly doggie makeovers for lucky  CAP  dogs each Wednesday. The pups also receive a free grooming certificate from  Rover Oaks Katy  so their new adoptive parents can continue to keep them looking their best!

Meet Charlemagne and Poppy, this week's featured makeover pups. Neither pup needed much in the way of "grooming", but they did get a good bath and brushing, and a little bit of trimming for the worst of the scragglies.

Meet Poppy BEFORE Her Rover’s Makeover!

Poppy before

Poppy is a darling, sweet and friendly little 8 month old chihuahua/schnauzer (?) mix. She was a good girl for the grooming staff and will make someone a wonderful companion. Poppy was found as a stray so not much is known about her history...so she will just have to make her own history going forward!

Meet Charlemagne BEFORE His Rover’s Makeover!

Charlemagne before

Charlemagne is a cute little one and a half year old terrier mix. He is a typical terrier in his approach to life, and will need a little practice getting used to the whole grooming thing. But what an adorable little guy! He too was a stray, found near 529 and Pitts Road in the Richmond area.

Check Out Charlemagne NOW!

Poppy, Charlemagne and many other wonderful dogs, cats and small animals are waiting patiently for loving homes at Citizens for Animal Protection, 17555 Katy Freeway (I-10 at Barker-Clodine). You can also visit them on the web at www.cap4pets.org , but as there are many more animals at the shelter than are on the site, it is definitely worth a visit. Hurry over to CAP...your new best friend is waiting to meet you!
