Houston’s Top Pet Resorts Celebrate The Dog Days of Summer by Selling Pupcakes from Icing Cupcakes to Benefit SNAP!

Rover Oaks , Urban Tails and ABC Pet Resorts are joining forces to present Pupcakes with a Purpose, a two week fundraising event that will benefit Houston’s Spay Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP) .  From August 15 till August 26th, which is also National Dog Day, the three respected resorts will be selling Pupcakes, specially made canine-friendly cupcakes, to raise much-needed funds to help SNAP provide more free and low-cost services to the community.  All good dogs deserve a treat and this event is a perfect way to celebrate the dog days of summer while also benefitting an extremely worthy cause.  

For Houston area dogs, raising money never tasted so good thanks to the Pupcake desserts from Icing Cupcakes . The tasty treats will be available for sale at Rover Oaks Pet Resort in Houston and Katy, Urban Tails Pet Resort in Midtown, ABC Pet Resort and Spa in North Houston, Icing Cupcake’s location in Katy and at the SNAP Spay-Neuter and Wellness Clinic located near Houston’s Heights.  Pupcakes will be sold for $2, with all proceeds benefitting SNAP. Pet parents and pups around the nation can also join the fun by purchasing Pupcakes online at  www.icing-cupcakes.com , where 10% of all online Pupcake sales will benefit SNAP throughout the two week Pupcakes with a Purpose celebration!

This year’s Pupcakes with a Purpose marks the second time the three upscale pet resorts have partnered together to benefit charity.  “We are really excited about partnering to raise funds for SNAP, while celebrating our appreciation for the dogs in our lives,” said Steve Smith, owner of Rover Oaks Pet Resort.  “We encounter many animals in need of homes through our work in the community.  By assisting SNAP we are helping to stop the cycle of animal overpopulation, providing more adoption opportunities for the animals currently in shelters or foster care.
