Pink skin growths? Benign??

Posted by Gingergirl

I found 2 skin growths on my 9 yr dog. They are on her underside and are similar to a large nipple. All skin. They are both in random places too. Not near each other. The skin is pink on it and it does not bother her if I touch it.

Dogs can have skin growths show up just about anywhere on their body, usually as they are getting into their later years.  A lot of those growths can be types of cancer, but a lot of them can be benign as well.

If you aren't planning on having her examined soon by your veterinarian, you should closely observe the appearance of these growths and look at them frequently for any sign of a change in their appearance.  If you do have occasion to visit your veterinarian soon, you should have them looked at for a further opinion.
