New poll: Does pet ownership affect your opinion of others?

Posted by PetDoc Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

Last week's Does pet ownership affect your presidential vote?  Poll results are in!

I'm glad to see most of our reader are also rational voters.

71%agree that it would be great if the future president were an animal lover, but their vote will be based on more important decisions.

15%base their vote on the candidate's doggy decisions.

To the remaining11%that responded," Who's Obama?", I hope you were kidding.

As a follow up to last week's poll, I'm curious to find out how much pet ownership affects your feelings towards someone. Are you more likely to introduce yourself to someone with a cute dog? Do you like someone more after you find out they also have a kitten?

A friend of mine told me a story where she was driving with her dogs and got pulled over by the police.  The cop was prepared to give her a ticket for speeding, when he saw her adorable black lab in the passenger seat.  The cop immediately softened up and ended up just giving her a warning.

Has anything like that ever happened to you?

Let us know!

Well I did get pulled over once when I was a young teenager by a policeman. My beautiful HUGE Great Dane was in the back seat and instead of my smile working the police officer gave me a ticket because my dog growled at him - yikes!
