The last 2 nights my dog has been up roaming around the house. Sunday morning there were a few loose stools on the floor by the door. Sunday night she started to do the same thing at night - all night!! so I kept taking her outside. She would squat but I couldnt tell if she ever went. I checked her bottom to see if hair was obstructiong her anus but it was not. My dog is a 3yr old Cavilar King Charles Spaniel.
You really need to have your dog examined by your veterinarian asap. It's possible that she got into something that so irritated her gut that it remains hyper-motile and produces the sensation that she still has to go. It's also possible that she has an obstruction somewhere in her intestinal track that doing the same thing. Either way, it's not something to mess around with, especially in such a small animal.
