Cancer is the ultimate example of a body completely out of balance (homeostasis) - the ultimate symptom if you will. Cancer cells abide in everyone and animal. If we do enough wrong we can awaken the cancer viruses that are embedded in our very DNA. So the thing to understand are a couple of things:

1. Cats are obligate carnivores. That means they are obligated to eat meat to survive and thrive. If they are deprived of that, eventually they become ill. Cats need a raw meat and bone diet to truly thrive. A good site to find out more is www.rawfedcats.org

2. Vaccines are a big issue. If you are vaccinating your cat yearly, including the rabies you are setting your cat up for illness.

You'll want to do your homework so you can be truly informed to know all that is going on with your cat and to avoid these things with subsequent pets. Here are some links to help you:

Don Hamilton, DVM -Yearly "boosters" are unnecessary, provide no benefit if given (will not increase immunity). Thus boosters are either a legal issue (Rabies) or a manipulation issue (inducing clients to come in for examination rather than directly suggesting an examination).
