Any medication that affects the central nervous system has the potential to be toxic to cats and dogs. Cats can be particularly affected because sometimes they don't handle drugs the same way people do. Consequently, rugs that cause humans problems can be toxic to cats. Hence the recommendation to ALL human drugs out of the reach of animals.
