How To Get Your Dog To Stop Barking

Posted Jan 11 2014 10:02pm

I recently started seeing a new girl. Everything is going great except that she has a dog.

I love dogs. But her dog needs to stop barking!

The barking is affecting my sleep. Which in turns affects how I perform at my job. It’s hard trying to go to work after little sleep thanks to a barking dog.

Since this is a new relationship I wanted to tread lightly as I really like. I didn’t want to offend her. But she seriously needed to train her dog.

Her first idea was to try an order a training aid online. But after a lot of research and reading reviews she decided not to. This was a smart move as I did my own research and noticed a lot of people saying the training aid they ordered was a waste of money and had no lasting improvements.

The next idea was to try and read about how she can train her dog by herself. She went straight to the internet and read posts exactly like the one you’re reading now.  Her problem was because she was far too busy to do this on her own. That and there are so many ways to train and dog. Picking one is difficult.

The next and final move was to looking to a Victoria Dog Training company. Ben Kersen owns The Wonderdogs and is also an International dog trainer for those who want to train dogs themselves.

This proved to the best move as she could drop the dog off and Ben would train him while she went to the gym. It cost her more money than she wanted but I can now sleep much easier.

This means I am not cranky at work and don’t resent her and her dog. All in all the stress is lower and the dog seems to be more behaved then before.

So in the end, the best way to get your dog to stop barking is to take it to a professional dog trainer
