On January 16th, 2010, the Homeless Animal Partnership Initiative (HAPI) will be hosting their largest event to date. The HAPI Family Pet Festival will take place at the St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church, 1656 Blalock just north of I-10 (Katy Freeway) from 10 am – 4pm.
There will be something for everyone and best of all, pets just ready to go home with their new families. There will be dogs, cats, and bunnies available for adoption from area rescue groups as well as dogs from the Bureau of Animal Regulation and Care (BARC).
And don’t forget to bring the kids, because while they are picking out their new pet, they can also enjoy the Moon bounce, graciously donated by Jumping Fiesta as well as Face painting and Balloon animals and more.
At the end of the day the Rev Robert Goolsby will perform a “Blessing of the Animals”.
And make sure you purchase a $5 raffle ticket for a chance to win a 42” LCD Flat screen TV to be drawn at the end of the event. All proceeds go to benefit the Homeless Animal Partnership Initiative.
