Professional Trainers from Rover Oaks Provide Unique Puppy Classes at Their Houston and Katy Facilities in a Fun, Educational and Interactive Environment!
  Isabella 11 weeks

Everyone loves puppies, however their behavior can often have pet parents chasing their own tails.  Whether they are chewing shoes, gnawing on a favorite chair or struggling with potty training, the stress of having a puppy in the house can sometimes overshadow the joy of having four little feet running around.  The expert trainers at Rover Oaks Pet Resort understand these common puppy issues and can help bring structure and balance into the home, while creating the building blocks of learning that will benefit your dog throughout his life.

Rover Oaks started their specially-designed puppy class in 2010 and it has become one of their most popular and talked about classes.  The class meets for one hour a week, for six weeks, and is on-going so there is never a wait.  Rover Oaks is also adding new classes to meet the growing needs of the community, starting with a new Tuesday night class at Rover Oaks Katy which begins March 29.  With Rover Oaks’ two convenient locations, there are many class options that will fit within the busiest of schedules.  All attendees of the puppy training classes will receive a valuable puppy gift bag that includes treat and food samples from Natura Pet Products as well as a few fun items for the human participants. Each puppy enrolled also receives half-off of their first groom at Rover Oaks’ popular grooming salon. It’s never too early to start training a puppy and the staff at Rover Oaks Pet Resort makes it convenient and fun for you and your four-legged friend.

“It’s so important that we get puppies into training early on,” said Michael Baugh, CPDT-KA, CDBC, Rover Oaks’ director of training and behavior.  “This is a critical period in your dog’s development and we only get one crack at it.  Puppy socialization isn’t just about letting them meet other puppies.  It’s about introducing them to the sights, sounds and experiences of life in our human world in a way that makes them confident, stable and safe members of our families.  The truth is, puppy class is just a whole lot of fun too.  It’s like a little party every week.”

Rover Oaks’ puppy class is specifically designed for puppies in the earliest stages of social development (8-18 weeks).  The fun and dynamic class focuses exclusively on puppy issues and each puppy's individual success.   Participants learn how to solve puppy behavior problems such as mouthing, chewing and potty training, as well as how to prevent serious problems that could develop down the line.  In addition, all participants will learn to teach basic manners, which are essential to a happy dog/human home life. Call Rover Oaks Houston at (713) 662-2119 or Rover Oaks Katy at (281) 693-7687 and select option 4 for more information, including class times, or to speak with a Training Coordinator.
