Antibiotics will not "get rid of" kennel cough since there is also a virus component to the disease. Kennel cough is usually considered to be a "self limiting" disease, in that it will gradually dissipate over 1-2 weeks and go away on its own...unless there are other complicating factors.
Antibiotics would be indicated if there is a concern for a secondary bacterial complication to the disease.
