Chat with Laurie Kaplan, author of Help Your Dog Fight Cancer

Posted Feb 21 2009 11:18pm

kaplancancer.jpg When Lydia was first diagnosed with cancer I started reading a lot about canine cancer, and felt a sense of relief when I found Laurie Kaplan’s book, Help Your Dog Fight Cancer. It’s been the absolute best resource I’ve found and I refer to it often…more than I do any other book I’ve found on canine cancer.

In her book, Laurie writes extensively about what she went through with her dog Bullet and shares what she learned about cancer, how to treat it, the diet she fed her dog, supplements, and a lot more. It’s an excellent book for anyone who needs or wants to know more about cancer in dogs.

I’m really excited that Laurie is going to be a guest for ’s chat month this year. She’s going to be chatting online with people tomorrow evening. If your dog is fighting cancer…or if you just want to know a bit more about canine cancer…I hope you’ll be able to make it.

Magic Bullet Fund: Helping dogs with cancer
Sunday, February 22, at 9 PM Eastern, in the Dog Den
Author Laurie Kaplan founded the Magic Bullet Fund to help people who have a dog with cancer but cannot afford treatment costs. Laurie will be joining us to discuss the work of the Magic Bullet Fund as well as her recent book, “ Help Your Dog Fight Cancer: What every caretaker should know about Canine Cancer.”

I’ve been looking forward to this chat ever since I saw her on the schedule!
