my cat had ear mites, which she's been given medication for. however, just over the past week, her ear scratching became more excessive and she's losing her balance all over the place. I did take her to a vet today, who said she had a yeast infection and wax buildup in both ears, one worse than the other. she keeps flopping over whenever she shakes her head or moves too fast. she's eating normally, pretty active and having normal bowel movements and urination. I want to think it's just because all of that is affecting her equilibrium, especially if it got into the inner or middle ear. It's just so sad to see her falling over every 10 minutes. I guess I'm just paranoid that something is neurologically wrong. She has been given an ear wash and ointment that I have to give to her for 10-14 days.
