You are much better off finding one that is pet specific. While glucosamine is an excellent supplement for helping with arthritis, etc., they are not all created equal. We've had these discussions on our online radio show, Animal Talk Naturally, with veterinarian Dr. John Symes, aka Dogtor J. You'd be wise to do a little homework on this supplement and find a good source and quality.

A place I purchase mine from and have found them to have good quality products for humans and that work well with dogs also is at www.bio-alternatives.net
