You really shouldn't give any medicine to your dog without knowing what you're treating. If this wound was caused by some type of trauma or bite, it very well could have become infected. Sometimes, these will heal by themselves, while other times, they will become an abscess that needs to be drained and treated. Your veterinarian can give you guidance on this.
The indiscriminant use of antibiotics is to be discouraged because that's how resistance to those antibiotics comes about.

my lab has two holes on his neck Im not sure if he got caught on the fence trying to get out or he got bit by something It was bleeding but now theres a lump formed on his neck about the size of a golf ball
