My German Shepard got hit yesterday by a car. the impact was so strong that she has a hole in her lungs and when she breaths oxygen leaks into her chest makiking it difficult for her to breath. We took her to the vet ER and examined that within one hour 1 1/2 liters of oxygen leaked into her chest from her ruptured lung the vet said it was possible for her to survive but we didnt have enough money to futher go on with any surgical operations so we had two choices either to put her to sleep (kill her) or take her home in hopes of her improving from her accident. later we took her home and i stayed up all night watching her sleep she seems to be breathing much better but the thing is, if she still has a ruptured lung will she be able to survive any long and how long will it take for her to heal?
