I have a 5 year old female Lab that seems to have a problem with the bowels. She has been a little winney lately. I have a male dog who has always taken care of the female when she has an ear infection by licking her ears. Right now he has been licking her butt. Any suggestions?
Assuming that she hasn't been injured in that area, it's possible that your dog's anal glands are bothering her, either because they're impacted or infected. The best way to determine this is to have your veterinarian examine her.
