Blood on the outside of chicken egg shell

My 2 Rhode Island Reds and One of my Plymouth Rock chickens just started to lay eggs in the past two weeks. This morning one of the egg's shell was partially covered in blood. Can you explain and is there any medical danger to one of my girls, and is it safe to eat?
