They will have a photographer on hand to take family and pet portraits, a moonwalk for the kids and free food for all. Bring the family and make it an adoption day - Healthy pets on leash are also invited!

CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS:

CAT Building Grand Opening will require more volunteers at BARC than usual.   BARC needs extra volunteers starting today to help before and during this big event.  Calling all animal lovers! Come meet the new Volunteer Coordinator at BARC , Tiffany Moore, who is also President of the Houston Dog Park Association and also see the new and improved BARC facilities. But most importantly they need to get all the animals ready for the Grand Opening Ceremony for the new Cat Adoption Building to be held on Saturday, July 10, 2010 from 12 - 4pm.  The event will have festivities and fun as well as free food and refreshments for everyone, especially the hard working volunteers and staff. On Saturday BARC needs help beginning at 8 am to prepare the cats and dogs for the big event. They need dog bathers, dog walkers, kitty cage cleaners, and more.
