Chris Nichols started this site because of a very special dog who goes by the name of Brent. Well, ALL dogs are special in my humble canine opinion but bepaws of Brent, we now have an advocate for us to make sure not only get to our destinations but we get there safe and sound, WOOF! My name is Chris Nichols and I started Pet Flight in August of 2005 when I was unable to get consistent information from the airlines about shipping my dog Brent to Hawaii for a move I was planning.
With three calls to Delta, I received three different answers. So I set about collecting this information from all the major airlines and putting it in a concise and consistent format on the web. I also keep statistics on all of the pet injuries, losses, and deaths that happen as the result of air travel (the airlines are now required to file this information with the government each month).
