Our 6 yr old Newfoundland has had an increase in seizures (more than 2 per month). The last time she bit her tongue and inside of her mouth. Now, her underneath her jaw is swollen. Could the swollen jaw indicate infection and if so, could an infection cause more frequent seizures? She will be seen by a specialist soon, but the swollen jaw (on right side only), just occurred today (6 days after the last cluster of seizures).
