I am very touched and inspired by the courage Nancy has shown over the past several years in her battle with CF. I have known the Matthews family for over 25 years, and Nancy for probably 15 of those. As she was commuting with Scott back and forth from Pittsburgh last year, waiting for her new lungs, we were able to keep up with the progress through her blog. As I look back at the pictures and the Love she gives and receives from her family and friends, it makes me feel lucky that I know her, and blessed that my family is healthy and happy.
My 15 year old daughter's best friend also has CF, and is doing very well and living a very normal life experiencing all the activities that you would hope. At some point, she will most likely be faced with some of the same challenges that Nancy has faced. I hope that she can refer to Nancy's blog to help her face these challenges with the same courage as Nancy. In my opinion, there is no health blogger more worthy than Nancy Matthews!! All the best to you over the Christmas Season.
