Hannah is 9 years old and struggles with intractible epilepsy, hypertension, and alveolar hypoventilation syndrome.  She has complex partial and tonic clonic seizures.  We continue to work with genetics to see if she has an underlying syndrome.  I started this blog to keep family and friends informed while started the journey of getting Hannah's seizure alert...

I have been suffering from constant migraines for four years. I tried everything under the sun until I was diagnosed with Hemicrania Continua. My body did not react well to the Indomethacin that took away the headaches, so I decided to have a Supra-Orbital Nerve Stimulator (very much like an Occipital Nerve Stimulator, but the wire is placed in a different area) implanted.

I was diagnoised with trigeminal neuralgia 12 years ago,I tried all the meds there were to no avail so i decided to have the MVD operation. The doctor cut and took out 60% of my nerve. The pain was worst than ever. I than had a nerve removed over my left eye and was pain free for 18 months and then the pain returned. After this I had the GAMMA KNIFE which did nothing. I am now in pain every day...

I have had a constant headache now for over 2 years with migraines coming at least 4=5 times a week. Nothing seems to help. Mediation, stimuate implant, nerve block, even a special pillow. Nothing. I'm at my wits end. On Oct. 14th I'm scheduled for a 3rd surgery to remove the implant that has caused more harm then good. I just can't seem to catch a break. It has become very depressing.

I am a 31 year old female suffering from headaches - occipital neuralgia to be specific.  I have tried numerous treatments and medications with little to no pain relief.  I recently found a new doctor, who has suggested an occipital nerve stimulation implant.  My husband and I are in the process of deciding what to do next.
