I'm a 35 year old mother and wife living with cancer. My two oldest children and I were diagnosed six years ago with MEN2a and Medullary Thyroid Cancer. At the time I was also diagnosed with Metastatic Medullary Thyroid Cancer and Pheochromocytomas (adrenal tumors). Everything since then has been one very loopy rollercoaster ride.

I have known about my meningioma for about 3 years...I am the one who asked my osteopath...who is the one doctor I trust, and is the one who usually takes care of my headaches, until they get beyond him and he kicks me back out into the cold cruel world of "neurologists" and the idiots that reign therein.  Meds, especially pain meds, and I don't get along...which is funny,...

Somewhere around November 18th or 19th of 2007, I started feeling what I thought were Carpal Tunnel symptoms in my right hand. The symptoms included: tingling of my fingers, numbness, and I was having trouble typing. I went out and bought wrist guards, and things designed to help CT patients. The symptoms continued for about two weeks and I promised I?d visit the doctor after Thanksgiving....

The Brain Tumor Journal blog (braintumorjournal.blogspot.com) is my mother's story of her 30+ years of experiences associated with meningioma brain tumors . She wrote her story to help others that face the same challenges and disabilities that she faced. She wrote this journal over a period of years between about 1988-1995 before the advent of user friendly blogs. The original title was "I...

I am 53 years old in very good health except for a medium sized malignant tumor on my left lung. I was diagnosed in May of 2009. All of the tests so far show no signs of any other tumors in my brain or on any of my other organs. I'm very greatful for that. On January 20, 2010 I will be undergoing a procedure called pneumonectomy. (removal of the entire left lung).
