I am a 41yr old man. I've been an electrician for 22yrs, most of which i've been a workaholic. "A walking forklift", I've been called. In May of 2007 I lifted my toolbag wrong (which I found out later weighed 80lbs) and felt a sudden sharp pain in my lower back that almost put me to my knees. I reported this but kept on working (old mindset "just work...

I am a young grandmother of 68 yrs. old.  Soon to be 69 in July.  I have felt young at heart all my life.  Now age is cathing up with me.  soon I will have to make a decision  if I should have a partial knee replacement or a full knee replacement. Strapples Patient Expert

Palatine, Illinois
I was born on August 8th 1991. Two or more weeks premature. I spent the first three and a half years of my life in a Romanian orphanage, on the third year one of the caretakers attempted to kill me by throwing me down the stairs for complaining that she was stealing food. I suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury with skull fracture. I remember waking up in the hospital. Because of the premature birth...

Botched

Kneeville, California
Hi, I'm a 64 yr old male who had a TKR on my right leg this year (2009).  My doctor was referred on the website for the Knee Replacement Device.  My knee got infected 3+ weeks after the surgery, operated on it again, and it's been a downhill ride ever since, incl a bone scan.  I would NOT recommend this procedure to anyone!  Removing an infection in a cemented process...

Navy Knee Pain

California
Ex Navy and that's not what I wanted but sometimes we can't help what happens. I like to keep active as best that I can but being that my knee is what is wrong and why I was kicked out of the Navy but I try. I have had one surgery but things got worse and now I'm going back to school to learn something new that I can make a living from.

Jon L.

South San Francisco, California
I am a big guy, trying to lose weight gained by a major knee surgery and many years of bad nutritional choices. I'm starting to make better food choices and I'm exercising daily again. I would love feedback on my program and any tips that any of you would have to improve my program to get me more out of each workout. I work full time at a local health plan and I see the staggering rate of...

San Francisco, California
I'm a web designer/developer out of San Francisco, CA and recently decided to stop using my bum left knee and busy lifestyle as excuses for being out of shape. I've lost over 20 pounds in the last few months just from changing my diet and getting back in the gym! I'll probably need arthroscopic surgery to get my knee fully back to new, but that's cool - I'm looking forward to getting back to...
