SAN FRANCISCO, California
I graduated with a nutrition degree in June at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and currently working full time. I'm 5'1.5 and 115 lbs. I used to weight 125lbs. How did I lose the lbs? Just by being more educated about the food I eat allow me to make smart choices. Also staying active by taking stairs instead of elevator, taking walks during lunch, standing instead of sitting when I commute, also...

Hi.  I'm 46 years old.  I have been working on a change of lifestyle since the beginning of June.  As of today, I have lost 65 lbs.  I began participating in charity walks and have decided to begin jogging.  On Thanksgiving I will jog my first 5k.  We'll see how it goes.

I'm going to be 42 this year. I am a single mom of a 16 yr old daughter. I'm an IT professional and also a student hoping to graduate in May 2013. I lost 140lbs over the past 2 years or so. I like to jog and run in races. I've recently made the leap from 3.2 miles at a time to about 6 - 7 miles at a time. I love the long distance running. I plan on doing the mini marathon next May in...

I wasn't raised in an environment that emphasized exercise as part of our daily routine. After graduating from college, I began to exercise and found my passion in running. I went from not being able to run down to the block to completing...

Hi, my name is Lea. I am a runner, health nut, writer, and dog lover. The blog name is sort of tongue-in-cheek. I'm the dummy here, sharing my growth experiences along the way. My blog motivates me personally on so many levels and it inspires me to learn that it motivates others too. I started out by jogging around the neighborhood to lose a few extra pounds, I had no idea it would grow into a...

I am a health physicist poet. For work I head the medical group at Stanford's EH&S Health Physics Department. I spend my days assisting the Medical Center in issues involving radiation safety. It's a great job! At night I twiddle at poetry. I am slowly working on a collection of poems that I might call King's Mountain Meanderings. My passionate hobby is world travel with my husband. We...
