I use to be very active. Played sports all my life. As I am approaching middle age, things are starting to breakdown. I've had one hip total hip replacement and need the other real soon. I would like to find some activity that does not HURT.
Prof. Electrical Engineering. Avid skier, jogger, windsurfer for 40 years. Now looking at hip replacement surgery in May, so physical activity is now definitely limited.
I went back to school last year and got my degree as an LPN. Had known my whole life that I was going to be a nurse. I currently work at a convalescent home with a rehab wing, where we get temporary residents in need of skilled nursing and rehabilitation for things like knee and hip replacements. I love my work!

I am 33 years old and received bilateral hip replacement surgery on 8th April 2010. Technically it's really a Birmingham Mid Head Resection. (The McMinn Centre has some awesome info about the procedure) The decision to do this now rather than in a few years time took some time, consideration and a lot of research.
