I have a long story of weight loss, gain, loss -- including losing 150 pounds TWICE, once with gastric bypass surgery (which I CAN'T RECOMMEND!) and once via healthy eating and exercise. This is a journey and if you're interested, you can read all about my lonnnnggg journey on my blog.
Now, the thing I care most about is putting aside perfection and blame and just living healthy and happy!
I am 63 married, I was very heavy for a great many years had to have Gastric bypass surgery to loose weight as had such knee problems could not exercise properly. But am heavy in my ankles and calves of my legs. Every thing requires Yoga etc. something to kneel etc. and that i cannot do.
I once weighed 530 lbs. I lost a good amount of weight on my own and then had RNY gastric bypass surgery almost two years ago. I have lost a total of about 265 lbs and hope to lose another 30-40 at least. I'm not so much governed by the number on the scale as I am by how I feel and I feel GREAT!
My name is Cathy Wilson and I had RNY Lap gastric bypass surgery in 2001. I've lost 147 pounds. In addition, I also lost my diabetes, GERD, sleep apnea, and arthritic conditions of my joints and spine. I went from a size 26, 3x to a size 4. Weight loss and maintenance, and behavioral health are my passion. I am a certified life coach specializing in weight loss and weight loss surgery.
I had gastric bypass surgery at Stanford Hospital 2005 and over a two year period lost 160 lbs. I walk about 9 miles a day and hike over the weekends. I want to maintain my weight and keep carb cravings under control.
I had Roux-en-Y gastric bypass surgery in November 2007. So far I've lost 110 pounds, gotten healthy, completed a half marathon, worked on several of my life goals. I'm healthier, happier and doing more amazing things then I ever thought possible.
