I am a mom of three who took up running after the birth of my second child. I have always been an athlete, playing soccer, basketball and throwing the shot put and the discus, but I NEVER ran. I started running to set a good example for my children and to lose the pregnancy weight and now I can't imagine my life without it. Racing with Babes chronicles my journey as a runner and a mother.

Hey, I'm Dave, and truth be told, I'm not much of a fitness anything. But, I guess I should probably pay more attention to my health and wellness, and my friend suggested I give this site a shot to increase my sphere of wellness. :) Anyways, I live in Orange County, I work in the web marketing industry. I like reading, playing guitar, fishing, partying, and learning.

I recently moved to Ohio from Michigan and I'm looking to drastically change my life. I have lost the weight just to gain it back again time and time again. Then I lost it and kept it off for almost a year, then I moved in with my boyfriend and shot up 70 pounds in a year and a half. I would love to lose half that by Christmas, that is my goal.

Have had FMS for 3 years since its onset caused by a flu shot. Then had big MVA resulting in soft tissue injuries and whiplash- just for some more fun;-( Getting better but VERY slowly. Still have sleep issues and tire easily. Am using alot of supplements and try to exercise (walking and yoga) when I can. Presently not working but hope to be soon. Planning a trip this spring.

I've been deaf most of my life. After considering the possibility of a cochlear implant for many years, I finally decided there were more reasons to give it a shot than not to try at all. This blog chronicles my adventures and mostly likely many bloopers along the way to "bionic" hearing. (Note slight sarcasm. I am realistic but optimistic! :) I have no idea how successful the end...

I am 36 years old and live in Louisville, Kentucky.  I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in January of 2009 so I am a newbie.  I am learning how to live with this disease each and every day.  I am on Betaseron shots every other day for treatment.  I started a daily blog, http://learningtolivewithms.blogspot.com that helps me record what I go through each day and I...
