I have been on a high protein diet for the last 6 months and have lost 42 lbs!  I still don't feel healthy! I work a stressful job and take on line courses that add to the stress level I feel every day. I am married to a wonderful man who will graduate in May 2010 with a Masters of Divinty and will become an Episcopal Priest. We will move back to Florida. I know I still have an eating...

I started going to the gym this past September after my 27th birthday. I started out weighing a massive 281 and as of 1/29/08 I weigh in at semi-massive 251. [as of 8/ 8/08 I weigh 226!] I switched up my eating habits and I added more protein to my diet. I also started taking supplements like CLA and Omega 3 and whey protein. I feel great and hope to drop more pounds and gain more...

I'm a Georgia native, mother of four grown children (last one in college) and three small grandchildren. I'm also a realtor in my spare time. I've been on a health journey most my life. I have battled with chemical imbalances, estrogen dominance, hypoglycemia and who knows what all as a young mother. Now in post menopause, I've learned I have Hashimotos (hypothyroidism) and am insulin...

I was a vegetarian for 11 years. After that I was on a high carb low fat diet for years another 10 years. None of these diets worked for me long term. As a vegetarian, I wasn't getting enough protein and had very little muscle mass. On low fat high carb, I was constantly hungry and had to do an insane amount of exercise to stay thin. In May 2009, I switched to a Low Carb High Fat Whole Food...

Six years ago, I weighed 120 pounds. Now, I weigh 127 pounds. Yet, I can confidently say that I have "lost weight." As a child, my diet consisted of McDonalds and Burger King. Living in Flushing, NY with my dad, fast-food built the base of my "city" diet. After moving to Fairfax, VA, my diet improved in that I ate more real, home-made food. However, I still ate a lot, almost...

I am interested in becoming healthier, losing about 10 - 15 pounds and being a better runner. I plan on running some 5 and 10k's and training up for a marathon. As far as weight loss goes, I'm taking it easy and allowing myself four 400 calorie meals a day. Each meal should be high protein and high fiber. :)
