A fresh look at special education law-mostly in understandable English. Jim Gerl is a consultant for a number of state education agencies, and he is a frequent speaker on special ed law topics. He has presented at many national and regional conferences, and he has given interviews for numerous publications. He's also a due process hearing officer and mediator for a number of states.

I am mom to five wonderfull kids. The youngest, Mickie was diagnosed with Severe Autism, when he was 22 months old. He is 11 years old now.

Single parenting two boys on opposite ends of the autism spectrum. They are now 13 and 14, both in Middle School. I am a home health care worker for my 13 year old, who is on the severe side, also nonverbal. I homeschool with Calfornia Virtual Academy my 14 yr old who is in 8th grade. I like to watch GH, Y&R, HGTV, Food Network, Brothers & Sisters and Biggest Loser.

I'm a middle aged manic depressive from the UK. My eldest daughter is classically autistic.
