Stone Angel Music founder, CEO, award winning pianist and producer Paul Cardall was born with severe congenital heart disease in 1973. He was born with a Large ASD, L-Tranposed AO, Single Ventricle, Single A-V Valve, Pulmonary Atresia. At 22 hours old Paul received the Potts shunt. He was able to enjoy a normal childhood although he would be short of breath at times of extreme excercise. He was involved in scouting and earned his Eagle Scout award. Two weeks later at the age of 13 a walnut size blister (endocarditis) of staff was removed from where surgeons performed the Potts shunt. One year later Paul received the fontan. Since that time various pacemakers have been replaced. At age 36 his Fontan is failing and Paul was listed for a heart transplant on August 20, 2008.
