The kidney was a birth defect.  Left kidney was malformed & in lower right pelvis behind ovary, on top of right leg essentially.  What started out being insignificant short bursts of pain every so often in my teens and 20s(after pregnancies, constant pain and nausea)was a kidney that became plastered against the lower pelvic wall.  A new doctor found it when it affected the right kidney.  The kidney was dying.

I have had similar pain, which feels like something is trying to rip/claw itself out. This happens to be due to my IUD, though. Mine is completely musculature in nature.

Has anyone has abdominal pressure along the ribs and flank for no apparent reason?  Or double over with muscles tightening up from just above the groin to ribcage?
