focused attention

For manifestations to occur, you need two factors; pure intention and focused attention. Intention is what directs potentiality, while attention is the intensity of this intention. As intention comes from thought, and thought is energy, then it goes to show that the more energy in your attention, more your intentions will manifest. If you find yourself getting stuck in your manifestations, then these are the two factors you need to look into.

Many of us face the problem of having several intents that cancel each other out. We do not have a clear single mindedness of focus. Need an example? Just think about the number of times when you have started on a project or venture, and you decide to quit half way, giving up on or your original goal.

“One reason so few of us achieve what we truly want is that we never direct our focus; we never concentrate our power. Most people dabble their way through life, never deciding to master anything in particular.”

—Anthony Robbins quotes

Attention is what brings about movement and strength to your intention. You can have an intent but if you do not direct your energy sufficiently, then you cannot bring about conscious changes.

“Remember that thought is the fire that creates the steam that turns the wheel of fortune, upon which your experiences depend.”

—The Master Key System by Charles F Haanel

We cannot attract positive outcomes if we are not sure what it is that we truly desire. We find ourselves stuck or still in the same position as before. The result is that we accomplish nothing.

The lack of clarity can affect the energy behind our focused attention. The energy is confused, weak and scattered. Read how I successfully bend silver metal spoons here using focused attention, after clearing up my energy.

The mechanics of focused attention is to concentrate, without any conscious or subconscious interfering thought. When you can do this, invisible forces are set in motion for your manifestations to occur.

The Principle of Focused Attention

The Principle of Focused Attention is a Universal law. This principle says that a thought reaches a combustion point at 17 seconds of pure undiluted focus. As we all know, thoughts usually follow one after another. So if there is a second thought that is in alignment with the first, the effect is exponentially more powerful. At the end of 17 seconds or 34 seconds, the next thought combusts. With 34 seconds of pure focus, it evolves to a higher level of energy. Add another 17 seconds, 34 seconds become 51 seconds and so on and so forth. If this string of thoughts is directed systematically and constructively, the energy vibrates at a frequency that draws the desired outcome and brings it into physical reality.

A Simple How-to Exercise To Apply The Principle of Focused Attention

I came to know about the 17 seconds requirement for focused attention some time ago but had no idea on how to apply it. If anything, I found myself often having sabotaging thoughts. “I want a new car but petrol prices are going to kill me”; “It will be nice to go on a vacation but that may mean that I cannot blog while I am away”; “I want to go to the gym but that will mean I will have less time for social marketing on the web”. It’s impossible to have pure thought after pure thought, without corruption.

However, in one of the Silva Mind Control techniques, I was taught a very useful exercise to put this into practice. This exercise involved creating a running script while making the visualization.

Ever tried role playing? This is exactly what it is. You imagine yourself as already having your desired outcome. However, instead of a static picture that you create in your mind, it is like you are in a movie. And you say this script out loud.

Need an example? Try saying this…

“I am now at a book signing ceremony. My book has made it to the best seller’s list on Amazon for six weeks in a row. Everyone is clamoring for a piece of me! There is a long queue of excited fans waiting in line.

I feel somewhat exhausted for it is already the 121th book I’m signing. I’ve got more signing ceremonies lined up in the next few days. The last I’ve checked with my personal assistant - my schedule is full for the next 6 months.

Despite my exhaustion, I am grateful to be sitting here. I am most appreciative towards my readers and fans. Without their support, I would not have attained my 6-digit income. All my hard work and late nights have finally borne fruit. Sitting in meditation and experiencing the gap every now pretty much provided me with inspired ideas for my book.

While making money has not been my primary motivator, it is a huge testimony to the lives that I have transformed through my site. I have inspired changes in more people that I ever dream of. It is heart warming when strangers whom I do not know, come up to tell me about the difference my book has made to them.

Click-click! It is the sound from a camera! “Look here, please,” says a fan. I smile and look towards the camera.”

Your Homework

Enjoyed the script? Okay….how’s this? Post a 17-second script in the comments section below and let me know what your inspired dream is. Tip: You can picture yourself at an award ceremony, about to finish a race or receiving a million dollar check in the mail; anything! The idea is to have fun, stretch your imagination and feel a dose of gratitude for having manifested your intention, while visualizing!
