Whether you a pregnancy is planned or unplanned- a positive result can leave you in a whirlwind of emotions and a flood of questions. If you are anything like me, some questions you feel awkward or too embarrassed to discuss with others, including your doctor. My embarrassment stemmed from the fact that I thought I should know more than I did. Little did I know that I was feeling the way several women often do during this special time.
A good book for every pregnant woman to have is Your Pregnancy, Week by Week by Glade B. Curtis, M.P.H and Judith Schuler M.S. They just released their Sixth Edition of the book with over 80 new topics added, covering new trends, products and safety recommendations.
So what can you expect to find in this book? You can expect to find information pertaining to every week of your pregnancy. You find detailed descriptions of baby’s developmental milestones each week, clear illustrations of how mother and baby are changing and growing, the latest information about medical tests/procedures, trips on nutrition and how a mother’s actions can affect the baby, as well as weekly exercises to help mother stay in shape and comfortable.
This week by week guide to pregnancy not only includes important information for the mothers, but the fathers as well. You do not find too many books that have little snippets included in them for men, which helps set this book apart from the others. I truly hope that men and women alike enjoy this book as much as my husband and I. We have found every page of this book to be useful and we’re on our second pregnancy!
