when giving my son a bath tonight, i had noticed 3 bruises on the lower part of his spine. any ideas?

he is immobile except for him rolling over. he is 4 months old, so he really cant express pain with words, but he is planting his feet down when you try to stand him up, no unusual fussiness. im just worried
