While walking in Target - I had to pick up a prescription for Advair and drop off new epi pen orders, whee! I live SUCH an exciting life - I overheard a phone conversation that a woman was having.
(No, not the woman walking by me in short shorts, a skin tight white shirt, high heels and higher hair, who said, in the strongest New York accent possible - I tooooold him to wear his sneak-ahs, but he just did NOT listen to me! - but a different, although equally loud shopper.
The woman in question was planning a picnic - with her friend? family? coworker? - and she was discussing what the other person needed to bring. I'm making hot dogs and hamburgers, you can do potato salad or cole slaw, or fruit or chips.
Listening to her got me thinking.
This winter has been tough on all of us. Colder than usual, more snow and just rotten weather than we'd all like. Spring is coming, and with it, cool stuff. Such coold stuff.
BBQ's. Picnics outside. Playground time. Watermelon and strawberries and blueberries that don't break the bank. Laying in the hammock, going to the beach. I'm looking forward to all of that. (I'm not looking forward to my hair fluffing out with humidity - if I had the $250, I'd totally be getting the keratin, because I'm here to tell you, I don't pull off the poodle look so well.)
