What does one car, two dogs, no computer and feeling at home mean for me - one well deserved weekend away! So if you want to know what pushed me completely to the breaking point last week go check out my other blog about the twins (sorry if you read this right after I publish this as I am writing that post second) so this weekend we re-homed one of our three dogs left to re-home BUT to re-home her we had to take her to Springfield, Missouri so we could meet her new momma (who came from Texas). Ima now lives in Texas and the original plan had been to drive to Springfield, Missouri and back in a day (would have meant spending the whole day in the car but could have been done) but after my Thursday and Friday last week I asked Aaron if we could attend the church I attended when I lived in the St. Louis area for years on Sunday - meaning we needed to stay in the St. Louis area Saturday night. He said yes and I called my VERY good friends who live in the area and more or less invited us to stay with them (by the way if you know Alice and Roger and need to stay in their area call them - we stayed in the BEST accommodations) - they naturally said yes and asked us to bring our puppy, Aurora! I was SOOOOOO excited - finally a weekend away and while I took my computer for many reasons I stayed offline. So sorry I am not caught up on other blogs - nor e-mail or comments! But I went to Church today and it felt as if I had never left - I felt at home and got so revitalized. I want to move back to that area, desperately…..so after all that I have some news:
- Our bedroom is one step from done - and that one step is the duvet cover I am making BUT tomorrow night I will take the pictures and post them of our bedroom (the duvet is pure white and looks good I just want to spice it up) - look forward to pictures of our bedroom tomorrow night
- The nursery will be done by this weekend…or at least to the point where all of the bedding needs to be added (my mom has all of it but the blankets which I am doing in late September- we are sewing it ourselves) - I will take interim pictures and show everyone (Laura this is all because of you!!!) I will keep posting until the nursery is 100% done - and that will be when the twins are in it!
- This weekend with some help I will be completing the playroom EXCEPT for the storage and rug (neither of which I have decided on yet) - so look for pictures next week of the playroom
- After all that the only major project left will be painting the hallway - which should be done shortly thereafter; and I will have more time to post etc, well until the twins come home
- I have one more questions post (I have not forgotten about your questions Jamie) and I have a post that I will be doing about some thoughts I have on my career etc - both will be password protected with the usual password….So I apologize in advance if you want twin info you will have to get it from their blog!! If you don’t have their blog info leave a comment and I would be happy to get it to you!
