Valentine's Weekend

Posted Feb 19 2009 5:15pm
Happy Valentine's Everyone! I hope you all had a sweet day with lots of love, hugs and kisses! Our weekend was great! We started off by opening a fun box full of goodies from Grandma and Grandpa! Fun new Webkinz to play with and a couple sweets that made our day! Brian and I also got the boys a couple bears, Brandon was in animal heaven! He loves all his babies and keeps trying to take over Aiden's too!

We spent some time playing with my friends Cathy & Crystal and their cute little boys Sam, Jack & Josh (thanks cathy for bringing your camera!) It was little boys gone wild out there in the park! How fun! :)

Sunday evening we were invited to attend a Valentine's Dinner hosted by the fabulous organization Heroes For Children. I just can't say enough good things about HFC, they were such a huge financial help to us thru Brandon's treatments and in Houston during the transplant! If you are ever looking for a terrific organization to donate to, it's them! They really do make a huge difference in the lives of Texas families battling childhood cancer. Brian and I were able to enjoy a spectacular dinner and drinks in a beautiful setting (our first dinner together alone in almost a year!) The boys had a great time playing in a separate room with other kids! They had so much fun they did not want to leave! The agency Mom's Best Friend volunteered their time and these nannies came out on their night off to watch and play the children! How awesome is that! I also have to add that Jen from Sugar Photography was there to take a portrait of the families that were there and you all know what a gifted photographer she is! Her photography is stunning, she's the best family photographer there is here in Texas and she volunteers her time and talent all the time, she is wonderful! Thank you so much to my friend Jenny to you and your amazing charity for inviting us to this event, you are such an inspiration to me and I just think everyone involved with HFC has a heart of pure gold!
