On Tuesday Violet had her VAC dressing put back on...I can tell you...I have not missed carrying around this machine everywhere with us and the noise it makes!
We go back on Monday to have the dressing replaced.
Violet is very self conscious about the VAC but I always put it under the wheelchair and cover it with a something and all you can see is the tubing coming out from under her foot. I think she figures it's just another reason for people to stare more than they normally do.
Instead of being confined to the house and to take her mind off her current situation today I decided to take the girls out for breakfast to a small cafe where I knew she wouldn't get any stares.
Here are a few photos of my gorgeous girls having their drinks at brekky
And in other news: Even though Violet has felt awful these past few weeks, she has still managed to submit artwork representing her school to the local Hawkesbury Show for the "Students with Disabilities" class. Will be so exciting just to see her artwork displayed at the show. This years theme is "International Year of Forests". Here is her entry
