Woo! Friday! I have something to announce, so I hope you are sitting down.
I went to the movies.
I know. But I did!
I think the last movie I saw in the theater was a full year ago - but I have been waiting - WAITING - for Sweeney Todd to be released and so my mom and I went to see it yesterday and it was, oh my god, SO GOOD. I am a huge Stephen Sondheim fan - his music is just so complex and sophisticated and I loved the play so much that I simply could not wait to see this. And I was not at all disappointed. I highly recommend it.
However, you should go in with some knowledge of the story line and you should kind of know what Sondheim is all about. If you're just kind of like "hey I like Johnny Depp" you probably won't get it or fully appreciate it. It takes a lot for me to rave about a movie, so you can trust my review here - seriously, go see it.
GO!
Let's see. What else is going on around here. We took down our tree, I think I mentioned that - and we are going to see another house this weekend. Today, Mr. P and I went out for lunch here and did a few quick returns. We also sat on a few couches here and decided to wait until we move to get a new couch. Despite the fact that our current couch is totally embarrassing, I think it is best to see what size family room we end up with to see if we'll need, say, a sectional or two couches or what. I am deeply, desperately in love with this couch, sans sleeper.
How very suburban housewife of me to profess my love for a couch, no?
I'll be back with more later. I now have the glamorous job of dragging all the trash out to the curb for tomorrow's pickup.
