W e spend a fortune on great skincare products, cleansers, moisturizers, anti-aging serums... We should all look as great as we did at twenty.. right?... well, maybe we're forgetting another important step in our skincare regimen... Eating!

Yes, the phrase "You are what you eat" holds true for our skin too. Tweaking your diet just a little could add up to fantastic results in the mirror.

Here are some of the best foods to keep your complexion at its finest:

Olive Oil - This super good for you oil helps to strengthen the skin's cell walls so your complexion looks radiant.

Berries - Berries are loaded with antioxidants help to protect your cells against "free radicals" (whether from the sun, or just the environment). Which, will help fight premature aging.

Brazil Nuts - These tasty nuts are high in Selenium. Selenium can help to protect against free radicals that can deterioration of collagen and elastin in your skin. Plus... they contain zinc and omega-3 oils which are also great for your complexion.

Green Tea - Tea is a natural anti-inflammatory which helps with acne and protects the cell membranes.

Spinach, Broccoli and Lowfat Dairy - These dairy-licious and dark green, leafy friends are packed with vitamin A. Natural sources of vitamin A can really help with cell growth and turnover. Without enough A, your skin can become dry and scaly.

And, of course...

Water, Water, Water - Getting enough water is essential. Not only does it keep your skin fresh and hydrated, staying hydrated ensures that you can sweat effectively, therefore clearing out those pores!

Some of the worst foods for your skin are over-greasy, over-processed, just plain un-healthy foods. Stay away or limit these foods whenever possible (not just for your skin, but for your general health as well).

Just a few small changes to your diet can really make a big difference in your skin. Will you look 20 again?... no, probably not - but when your skin looks healthy and radiant, you may feel 20 again!
