The Punkin Patch

We did it. We did the punkin patch. The thing I love about the punkin patch trips is that the pictures always turn out so darn cute. I always seem to forget how much work the trip actually was. I forget about the cold, I forget about the mud, I forget about the whining. All I see are smiling faces and pretty colors and I'm SO ready to do it again the next year.

This was Kainoa's first trip and he was really excited to see all the "balls".

He threw every pint sized pumpkin he could get his hands on...and I have no idea who's coat he's wearing. Is that a butterfly?? Awesome Dad.

This was the first year that Maile was actually excited about picking out a pumpkin. She collected five or six small ones and had big plans for them.

Laina was the pill. I made her sit on a pumpkin for a picture, she screamed that their were bugs on it and we went down hill from there. If memory serves me I believe she was a bit of a pill last during last years trip too. Maybe she doesn't care much for pumpkin season. Maybe I'm pushing something here that she's going to end up yapping to her therapist about in 20 years. Poor poor middle child.

When we got home Maile put her big plans for her pumpkins in action. She told me about them three different times on the way home and at lunch...behold:

She set them up on each side of her door as decor. I think I've got a crafty one on my hands. She didn't get that idea from ME.
