Over the past several (make that 9 ) months, we have been hearing that the CCAA (China Center of Adoption Affairs
- The agency in charge of ALL adoptions in China) was moving from their current offices to a new and more spacious building. Finally, in July, the move occured.
This is a picture of their new offices, located in the central business district of Beijing. They occupy 7 (not 10 as reported earlier) floors, along with a tasteful reception area.
There are two large-sized rooms on each floor and each room is around 100 square meters. The General Affairs Department Office resides on the eleventh floor. Domestic Adoption Department and Child-Raising Department are on twelfth floor. Adopter's Eligibility Review Department and Archives Management Department are on thirteenth floor. Administrative Office and Child's Inter-Country Placement Department are on fourteenth floor. And last but not least, the Information and Technology Department and Finance Department are on fifteenth floor.
All in all, I think they should be pretty content here. They have plenty of room and can even expand in time.
Sooo...do ya think they will be able to work faster too? Sure do hope so!
