A few months ago I had the opportunity of meeting a young guy Sean at a parent information group @ The Spastic Centre, he also has Hemiplegia CP. Was very encouraging to hear him have such a positive outlook on life...not to mention a wicked sense of humour. While he was there he told us he was an Instructor for the Learn to Swim for the disabled program and I took one of his business cards.
I rang him 2 weeks ago and today Violet had her swimming evaluation with him. She went very well considering she has only been in a pool for the first time on our recent holiday and besides that watched Emily at her swimming lessons every week.
She starts weekly individual lessons from February 09!
