Sunny Days Call for Sunny Sunscreen! *Giveaway*

Sunscreen is a big deal in our house.  I have fair skin and haven’t always protected it from the sun in the past.

I’m very diligent about making sure my kids are protected though.  With all of our summer activities -baseball, go cart racing, swimming- I want a sunscreen with excellent protection and green factor.

That’s why I’m excited to share with you Episencial Sunny Sunscreen .  It’s an SPF 35, water resistant sunscreen for the face and body. Photobucket

Some features include (from the Episencial website):

  • Protects sensitive skin with natural minerals zinc and titanium (no nano-particles).
  • Milky texture creates a protective layer with no harsh chemicals and minimal white residue.
  • Fortified with organic green tea extract to prevent sun-damage.
  • Organic sesame, safflower and avocado oils to moisturize and nourish the skin.
  • Beeswax and organic shea butter increase water resistance and sun protection without the use of petroleum or chemicals.

I like the way that the Sunny Sunscreen goes on.  So many times, I’ve found sunscreen to be runny, but the Sunny Sunscreen is smooth and creamy, truly a lotion.  There isn’t that typical sunscreen smell, something I appreciate because I don’t like that smell at all.  The 4oz. bottle fits perfectly in our swim bag.  With all of our outdoor goodness, I’m going to order another couple of bottles though.  At $14.99 a bottle, it’s a bit higher priced than what you’d find a the store, but I think it’s worth it because I not only care what goes on my kids skin, but I care about the planet as well.
