Saturday will be a year.

A year since a very special person left my life. Someone I miss every single day - my sister in law, Joann, who died from liver cancer.

I thought about what I'd do to commemorate this anniversary. The first one is the hardest, I'm thinking.

I mean, she and I loved Harley-Davidson - but I'm not in a financial position to buy a Harley. Yet. I've got to put braces on about 4957434 kids. I'd love to go for a ride, tho......

Then I thought about Starbucks.

She loved Starbucks. To be more precise, she LOVED the Caramel Frappuccino - ESPECIALLY if it came with extra whip.

So, on Saturday, I'm going to go get a Frappuccino (although maybe not the Caramel, because holy sweetness is it too sweet!). I'm going to take my kids, my brother in law, and anyone else who wants to go -

and we are going to have Starbucks for Joann.

(The kids will probably have milk. Or the new fizzy soda. What we drink doesn't matter - just the sentiment)

And I wanted to invite you to join me.

I know you didn't know her - and she was my total and complete opposite. In fact, most everyone in the family called us the Odd Couple - but we meshed, we really and truly did. I could tell her anything and she could tell me whatever. That's not to say we didn't disagree - we did. But we always came back to each other. We just got each other.

When she died, I felt like a part of me went with her, and I'm not going to lie - it's been tough.

I know something small, and let's face it - silly - won't bring her back. It won't make me less sad. But it might bring a smile to my face, thinking of her.

If you'd like to join me - I'd love it. Hell, I'm be THRILLED if you did. On Saturday, visit your local Starbucks, get a drink and give them her name when they ask for yours. Any kind of drink.

If you feel so inclined - and I'm NOT  asking, but only if you feel like it - would you send me a photo? If you use social media, hashtag it with either #StarbucksforJo or #RememberingJoann. Twitter, Facebook or Instagram - it doesn't matter.

The Love. The Love is what matters.

When I told the barista what I was planning, she decorated the cup especially for me.
