Posted Jan 27 2009 7:38pm

So opening weekend is over or will be by 5 p.m. my time and what a relief, I love the play but openings always scare me! I even got a few good laughs (when I am the flower lady I get to show off my better side to the audience more than once…actually I think it might be pretty funny if I saw it happening as well!) So tonight I will catch up on everyones blogs and stay caught up until Thursday when the next weekend of the play starts!

Yesterday I was talking to Alice (she has commented on here a few times) and we were discussing my inabaility to more or less sit still. See, I am MUCH better at getting things done when I am very busy than not so busy at all. I recall everything got done in undergrad though I was in the sorority, two or three other clubs, taking 21 credit hours, typically dating some one, and working at any given time about 3 jobs (Wal-Mart, assistant to a professor, and cleaning professor’s houses) - oh yeah and I managed to get pretty good grades. Let’s contrast this to my first year of law school when I was told the only thing I could do was law school - I didn’t study well, I was often bored and let many thing that I shouldn’t have slide to the last minute. So I have decided that as long as I am getting everything done, I am going to be just as busy as always until I have to divert my attention to a child or children, who I am sure will make me more busy that I have been ever in my entire life! So in the next few months (actually by October 1) I would like to get a few things done:

1.      The nursery

2.      The playroom

3.      The banister fixed

4.      Baby proof the house (this will take more time that I think I initially planned)

5.      Continue to rehome dogs until we are down to 2

6.      Finish our bedroom

I am also going to audition for the next play that the theater is putting on - High School Musical - for the role of the drama teacher but after that play I will be done for a while. So that I am busy and hopefully everything will be done before we bring a child or children home!
