Protect Your Lips this Summer with Softlips Pure Organic Lip Conditioner

Out here in California the summers are hot and dry. Every day I find myself applying lip balm to prevent dry cracked lips. Have you ever wondered what the standard lip balm is made of? A well known brand contains 44% petrolatum. What exactly is petrolatum? According to natural-skincare-authority.com, petrolatum is a chemical used in lip balm/treatment, moisturizers, eye drops/artificial tears, pain/wound treatment, diaper cream, anti-itch/rash cream and sunscreen/tanning oil that is linked to breast cancer. Petrolatum is also banned in the EU due to it's potential breast cancer risks. After learning this I don't think I want to use just any lip balm.
Recently I had the opportunity to try Softlips Pure USDA certified organic natural lip conditioner. They are petrolatum free and made from premium organic eco-friendly ingredients. Softlips Pure do not contain any animal bi-products and they are not tested on animals.
I love their unique flavors which include: last year's favorites, honeydew and pomegranate and new in 2009, chai tea, acai berry, peppermint, and papaya. As a busy mom I also appreciate their slim stick which fits easily in a purse, pocket or make up bag. Not only is the product itself eco-friendly the packaging is made of 100% recycled material with a vegetable based ink.
Softlips can be warn alone or under/over lipstick and retails for $2.99 at participating Target stores. Keep up to date on the latest from Softlips. You can also win your own set of Softlips Pure organic lip conditioner (6 flavors, $18.00 value). All you need to do is leave a comment at the end of this article.
